Junior Manager, Corporate Communications Benelux (m/f)

YOUR ROLE  

Internal Communications:  

  • Develop and manage employee communications programs to unify Benelux employees under the corporate brand and facilitate strategy cascading to increase understanding & support of employees. 
  • Implement internal communications programs in line with Henkel priorities, strategic roadmap & message house.
  • Facilitate the roll-out and adapt global internal communications initiatives to local requirements.
  • Drive proactively local internal channels (social media, Intranet, wall papers, newsletters, magazine, posters…):  content creation, curation.
  • Manage and organize interactive events (roundtables, conferences, Managers Meeting…).
  • Develop a strong internal network and a cross-business/function editorial committee (to be created).

Henkel Brand Management: 

  • Manage Henkel corporate branding tools locally, develop associated deliverables (print, digital) consistently with Henkel corporate design. Tactical efforts would include corporate websites, events... 

Messaging: 

  • Develop and maintain key corporate message set for Henkel in Benelux. Produce briefing materials for senior management, including Q&A documents for various target audiences. 

Stakeholders &Media Relations: 

  • Support the senior consultant managing corporate media relations and crisis coms, implement agreed strategies, tactics and actions to build up and protect the reputation of Henkel.
  • Act as a partner to local executives and Henkel Corporate communication team, in line with global policies, local requirements and media contexts. Ensure that agreed corp. communications activities are executed in line with plans. 

Management & interfaces: 

  • Strong team member of the BeNeFrance (Belgium, Netherlands, France) corporate communication structure, sharing best practises and lessons learned, developing stories to be used in global channels.
  • Day-to-day interface with the President of Henkel Benelux and local executives (excom members).
  • Report to the Head of Corporate Communication for Benelux and France (based in France).
  • Plan budget and report communications expenses based on Corporate Controlling standards.
  • Manage one intern.

 YOUR SKILLS  

  • Master Degree in communications, business or related discipline, with a first experience (ideally 2 to 3 years) in Corporate Communications
  • Capacity to work with a large degree of autonomy while respecting the provided framework
  • Ability to focus on priorities while multitasking as well as paying strong attention to qualitative execution.
  • Good general knowledge (cultural specificities of the different Benelux regions, strong interest in media and political environment) as well as analytical skills.
  • Creative thinker, well organized, with a strong willingness to bring added value. 
  • Strong team player.
  • Fluent in Dutch, English and French with strong writing skills. Editorial experience and affinity with digital and social media.
  • Knowledge of the standards of corp. communications for global companies would be a plus.
  • Based in Brussels (Belgium), while traveling regularly to Nieuwegein (The Netherlands).
